Their story
My grandmother Bridie has lived in this little Drumcondra terrace for 47 years. The front of the house hasn't been touched since my granddad died in 2014.
She's 82 now and gets embarrassed when she sees the neighbours' fresh paint, but she won't ask for help.
I'd love to surprise her on her birthday next month with a clean coat of cream on the render and a proper Irish green on the door. Free tea and brack to whoever shows up.
