How it goes
A blank gable wall facing a car park is the easiest art commission a street has. Get permission from the owner, agree the design with the immediate neighbours, and gather paint sponsors. One weekend later there's something to walk past with pride. Works especially well when a local primary school sketches the concept and adults block in the colour.
