Turn a derelict plot into a community garden

How it goes

Most streets have a patch that no one looks at — a corner behind the church, a sliver between the shops, the unused side of someone's lawn. With permission and ten willing hands, it becomes a place. Week 1: clear the rubbish and brambles. Week 2: dig beds, lay paths, put in raised planters. Week 3: plant — herbs, pollinators, a few raised veggies. From there it's maintenance, and that's where the community keeps showing up.
